For a planned hire in Canada, an Employer of Record arrangement can provide a designated legal employer to manage employment and payroll administration. Your organization continues to direct the day-to-day work.
How the arrangement works
- The designated legal employer handles the employment and administrative duties set out in the agreement.
- Your organization remains responsible for the work, supervision, access and workplace requirements.
Availability is assessed for each proposed hire. It depends on the province or territory and work location, the employing entity and worker type, payroll setup and legal feasibility. Responsibilities are set out in a written agreement.
